NY's Jackson Welding & Gas Acquires Delo Welding

The addition further strengthens Jackson’s position as compressed gas and welding supply distributor in Upstate New York.

ROCHESTER, NY — Jackson Welding & Gas Products has announced that it has acquired the assets of Delo Welding & Industrial Supply Corp., a second generation, family-owned business out of Syracuse, NY for more than 76 years.

The combination of Jackson and Delo further strengthens Jackson’s position as a leading compressed gas and welding supply distributor in Upstate NY. The addition of Delo will establish the sixth retail and/or distribution location for Jackson. Other locations include Avon, NY, Batavia, NY, Buffalo, NY, Newark, NY and Rochester, NY (HQ).

Jackson is a third generation, family owned business that packages and distributes atmospheric gases in a wide range of pressurized containers. Jackson supplies to customers with requirements that include industrial, medical and specialty applications. Jackson also distributes welding supply equipment and consumables from market leaders such as Lincoln Electric, Miller Electric, Hypertherm and Weldmark.

"I am very pleased to have Chuck Davoli and all his associates join the Jackson team,” said Robert A. Jackson, Jackson’s President and CEO. "The culture and ethics that Delo has demonstrated over the years will be a great addition to our company. The opportunity to service the Syracuse market is very exciting."

"Delo and Jackson have had a close working relationship for the past 7 years. We have worked on joint ventures and mutual supply arrangements," said Chuck Davoli, Delo President and CEO. "Our strategy is to continue the local hands on, customer focused approach we have done since our inception. The bulk gas distribution strength that Jackson provides will add a new dimension for growth and longevity in Central New York. I look forward to my continued role in supplying the region with compressed gases and welding supplies as the new Vice President of Central New York for Jackson."
