Southwest Fastener Acquires The Bolt Company Of New Mexico

Southwest Fastener has agreed to acquire The Bolt Company of New Mexico (The Bolt Company) under the terms of the agreement on September 10th, 2013. The acquisition combines two highly compatible fastener industry companies, and strengthens the presence of Southwest Fastener in the Albuquerque and in the state of New Mexico.

Phoenix, AZ – Southwest Fastener has agreed to acquire The Bolt Company of New Mexico (The Bolt Company) under the terms of the agreement on September 10th, 2013. The acquisition combines two highly compatible fastener industry companies, and strengthens the presence of Southwest Fastener in the Albuquerque and in the state of New Mexico.

Ken Lubbering, President of Southwest Fastener said, “It is my pleasure to announce the acquisition of The Bolt Company of New Mexico. The part that interested Southwest Fastener the most about acquiring The Bolt Company was not the tangible assets; it was the employees that will be coming with the acquisition of the company. With this merger we will be adding over 50 years of fastener experience and knowledge to the already experienced staff in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

So for the customers that were already doing business with The Bolt Company you can still call the same person at the same number you have for the past 5 years and receive the same great service. The only difference being that now we have even more to offer you. I would also like to take this time to welcome John, Lee, Frank, and Dean to the Southwest Fastener Team, home of the Bolt-Heads.”

Under the deal, Southwest Fastener will acquire ownership of The Bolt Company, a leader in the fastener industry. The Bolt Company, headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico present intent is for the employees, inventory, and manufacturing to move to Southwest Fastener’s current location in Albuquerque.
The Bolt Company acquisition follows Southwest Fastener’s very successful opening of its new store in Tucson, Arizona, which demonstrated the company's unique ability to expand its brand without disruption of value, or customer service. The acquisition brings further strength to Southwest Fastener’s extensive branch network and to their continued long-term growth.
