Signature Group Holdings Announces New Executive Appointments

G. Christopher Colville has been named Chairman of the Board and CEO Craig Noell has been named chairman of the Executive Committee . . .

Sherman Oaks, CA--Signature Group Holdings, Inc. today announced that G. Christopher Colville has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors and that Craig Noell, chief executive officer, has been named committee chairman of the Executive Committee and has assumed the additional title of president. The company also announced the following committee appointments:

    • Philip Tinkler

In addition, Kyle Ross, who has served as executive vice president and interim chief financial officer, has assumed the position of chief financial officer.

Mr. Noell commented, “We have recently taken a number of steps to streamline the Board and Committee process, reducing the size of the board from eight to five while adding Philip Tinkler and Chris Colville both of whom bring critical skills in capital formation and acquisitions. G. Christopher Colville (54) has served since 2007 as a strategic advisor to various privately held enterprises, where his principal role is to provide advice and counsel on capital structures, including negotiation of bank credit facilities, corporate governance and organizational development.

Craig Noell (50) was a co-founder of Signature Capital Partners, a special situations investment company, in 2004. He brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, investing banking, and special situation investing with Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo Foothill, Security Pacific, Barclays and Murphy Noell Capital.

Kyle Ross (35) was also a co-founder of Signature Capital Partners in 2004 and since then has been directly involved in all of Signature Capital's transactions, including playing an active role in structuring, underwriting, closing and managing the exit of transactions. Mr. Ross previously spent more than four years with the boutique investment banking firm Murphy Noell Capital where he was directly involved in over 25 transactions including capital raises, M&A transactions, and debt restructuring.
