WILMINGTON, Mass. -- For the second time in two years, Heilind Electronics, the largest distributor of interconnect, electromechanical and wire and cable products in North America, was ranked first in overall customer satisfaction in a survey of electronics distribution customers.
The survey was conducted by market research firm Bishop & Associates and evaluated the top forty electronics distributors in North America. Survey participants rated distributors on issues ranging from quality of personnel, on time delivery, and engineering support to depth and breadth of inventory.
Heilind was rated best by both buyers and engineers taking the survey and was judged to have the best Field Sales support as well as the best Inside Sales support. Heilind also received high marks for on-time delivery performance, breadth and depth of inventory, quote response, product sample support, overall ease of doing and the quality of its website.
Rick Nemeth, Heilind Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said of the survey, "A few years ago, we set out on a mission to focus the entire company's time, energy and resources on 'doing what's noticeable to the Customer.' We, like many organizations, had become more internally focused than we intended to be, certainly more than we wanted to be, and most importantly, more than our Customers needed us to be. So we made changes and hoped Customers noticed and appreciated the change. It's gratifying to know, through an independent, broad-based industry study such as the Bishop survey, that Customers are acknowledging what we set out to accomplish. The fact that this survey was so sharply focused on the Customers, markets, commodities, services and competitors that matter to Heilind makes the results doubly significant to us."
