Pipe, valves and fittings distributor the Macomb Group announced Monday that it has opened a new branch in eastern North Carolina.
The 22,100-square-foot facility in Wilmington will serve the state’s growing coastal region, officials said, including the nearby Fayetteville and Jacksonville markets. The expansion also reflects the Michigan-based company’s continued expansion in the Southeast.
The branch will supply mechanical contractors as well as customers in the chemical, oil & gas, nuclear power, food processing and data center segments, among others.
"The Wilmington area continues to grow rapidly, creating a tremendous opportunity to better serve customers throughout coastal North Carolina," Johnny Daniel, the company’s regional manager, said in a statement. "Having experienced people and inventory locally allows us to respond quickly, work closely with our customers to understand their needs, and build strong, long-term relationships."
In addition to Daniel, Chris Spell will serve as the Wilmington location’s branch manager.
