Cal Ripken, Jr. Becomes New Spokesman For Northern Safety

Frankfort, NY – Salvatore Longo, Owner and CEO of Northern Safety, has announced that National Baseball Hall of Famer, Cal Ripken, Jr. is the new spokesman for the Company.

Cal Ripken, Jr. played Major League Baseball for the Baltimore Orioles for 21 years. During his prestigious career, Mr. Ripken played 2,632 consecutive games, breaking the record Lou Gehrig held for 56 years. His dedication and perseverance earned him the nickname “Iron Man.”

Northern Safety and Mr. Ripken have developed a Cal Ripken, Jr. Signature Series line of products, including safety eyewear and gloves. The Signature Series products will be introduced in late summer.

In addition to the newly developed product lines, Mr. Ripken will deliver video safety tips for the company. The videos will appear monthly on Northern Safety’s web site, www.northernsafety.com. The messages will give tips on how to increase safety awareness and compliance in the workplace. “The safety message is the most important message in the workplace. You can’t work if you’re on the DL,” says Mr. Ripken.
