Industrial supplier Fastenal released its July sales report Tuesday, showing a 14.7 percent sales growth over July 2013. Sales grew to $323.7 million, up from $282.3 million last year. Fastenal's daily sales increased to $14.7 million.
Sales to manufacturing customers grew by 14.5 percent for July, while non-residential construction customer sales increased 11.6 percent.
The company didn't open a new store in July, but total employee headcount increased by 13.2 percent from last year to 18,161.
"Our fastener product line, which represents approximately 41 percent of our sales, had daily sales growth of 10.5 percent in July 2014," Fastenal said in their sales report release. "This is our first double-digit fastener growth month since April 2012."
