Sonepar announced Friday that the president of its North Coast subsidiary will retire later this year and be succeeded by the company’s construction sales leader.
North Coast Senior Vice President for Construction Sales and Operations Eric Genoway will take over as president of the business effective March 16. Genoway started his career at North Coast as a driver more than 20 years ago, and has also held roles in inside sales, outside sales, sales manager, director of construction sales for Washington state, and vice president of construction.
Current President Cory McCulloch will depart the company this spring after more than 40 years.
“Eric’s experience, dedication to the organization, and understanding of the market make him an outstanding choice to lead the company into its next chapter,” Sonepar Americas President Rob Taylor said in a statement.
“I’m deeply committed to continuing North Coast’s legacy and culture of empowering associates to drive sales excellence, expand market share, and be leaders in the distribution industry,” said Genoway.
North Coast, based in Seattle, dates back to 1913 and was acquired by Sonepar in 2019. The company operates more than 40 facilities across the Pacific Northwest, Arizona and Alaska.
