BROOKFIELD, WI — Anderson Process, a Midwestern supplier of process equipment and services, has acquired American Controls, Inc., a long-standing pump distributor and service provider in the Michigan and Northern Ohio regions.

The acquisition is being completed to capitalize on complementary product and service offerings between the two companies and continue Anderson Process’ initiative of becoming one of the Midwest’s largest dedicated process equipment distributors in both size and reach. Earlier this year, the purchase of another pump distributor and service provider, Werner Todd Pump Company, greatly increased the company’s presence in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

After the American Controls, Inc. acquisition, Anderson Process will have warehouse and service facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. This will provide the physical presence necessary to specify and supply a comprehensive line card of process equipment – including pumps, hoses, filtration and more – to nearly any organization in the Midwest region.

“American Controls, Inc., has a strong history of bringing leading pump and process technology to its customer base, including the innovative application of equipment to highly specialized industries. We’re very much looking forward to working with their team to build on their proven track record,” said Greg Domino, CEO of Anderson Process. “We have no doubt that the processes and people at American Controls, Inc. are the key to bringing the Anderson Process brand, along with our dedication to world-class customer service, to Northern Ohio and Michigan.”

The rollout of the Anderson Process brand to American Controls, Inc.’s territory and existing customers will occur over the course of the coming months. Both companies plan to ensure that meeting the needs of individual customers, as well as the greater Ohio and Michigan process industry, is the driving mission of the new resulting organization.

“From the American Controls, Inc. perspective, the most critical component of the acquisition was aligning with a strong partner, one that wanted to expand on our tradition of connecting our customers with innovative technology and expert-driven service,” said Craig Maass of American Controls, Inc. “Anderson Process’ reputation in surrounding states and territories speaks for itself. It’s apparent that Anderson Process’ core vision and values are strikingly similar to ours. This acquisition is sure to be a positive one for every stakeholder, in every possible way.”
