Marco Sealing Solutions announced Tuesday that it has acquired Global O-Ring and Seal, a Houston master distributor of O-rings, backup rings, X-rings, cord stock and sealing products.

Blog Featured Global 1 1024x576Marco Sealing SolutionsMarco officials said that Global offers more than 125 million stocked O-rings “across every major compound,” and has built “one of the industry’s largest wholesale distribution networks.” The company will continue operating under the Global name, and its 52,000-square-foot Houston facility and its staff will remain in place — joining Marco’s locations in New Hampshire and Florida.

Marco said that the addition of a Houston hub would improve delivery times across the Gulf Coast and strengthen its capabilities across North America.

“Global’s reputation for service and quality is well-established in our industry, making for an ideal fit with Marco,” Marco CEO Chad Smith said in a statement.

Brian DeSpain, Global’s former owner, said that the move is “the right next chapter” for the company.

“Marco is a family-built, customer-obsessed business, the same DNA we have built Global on,” DeSpain.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal is Marco’s third acquisition this year and 10th overall since its 2020 acquisition by private equity firm Align Capital Partners.
