Curbell Plastics has acquired a California plastics distributor in a move that the company said would expand its capabilities in the West.
Curbell officials said that the addition of Interstate Advanced Materials would also enable the upstate New York company to serve customers in a broader range of industries.
The Sacramento distributor of plastics and composite materials operates nine locations, which increases Curbell’s overall footprint to 31 sites. Interstate’s leaders and staff will remain with the business; additional details, including financial terms, were not disclosed.
“Interstate is a strong strategic fit for Curbell,” Curbell President Gerry Helbig said in a statement. “This acquisition significantly increases our western U.S. presence, expands our reach in important markets, and brings together two organizations with aligned values and a shared commitment to customer success.”
“Curbell is the right long-term owner for Interstate,” added Interstate CEO Cole Klokkevold. “They share our values as a family-owned business and our commitment to taking care of customers and employees.”
