Wintriss Controls Group announced this month that it acquired a Montreal safety solutions provider last fall and formed a new company in Canada.
Wintriss, a Massachusetts provider of automation and safety products for the metal stamping and metalforming industries, said that the addition of ISB would establish it as “the leading provider of safety solutions for presses and press brakes in the metalforming manufacturing industry.”
ISB offers light curtains, press brake guarding systems and other safety products. The new business, which will operate as Wintriss ISB, will continue operating at ISB's facility in Montreal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to advance the ISB legacy by combining the capabilities of two top safety product companies to form one indisputable leader in metal forming safety control,” Keith Magnant, president of Wintriss Controls, said in a statement. “ISB has many years of proven expertise in light curtain and press brake guarding technology, making them an ideal fit alongside our leading Shadow Light Curtain line.”
