I.S.K. Industries Inc. acquires Fleming Safety Group (FSG) as a strategic approach to penetrate the Safety and Fire channel
On April 1, 2012, I.S.K. Industries (ISK) announces the acquisition of Fleming Safety Group (FSG). All nine members of the FSG team will join ISK to create a complete package for suppliers seeking Industrial, Safety, and Fire Sales representation in the Midwest.
Jim Cashmore, President ISK states, "The combination of FSG's deep knowledge and penetration of the safety and fire channel with ISK’s resources and experience will provide first class service to distribution. FSG and ISK have serviced the Midwest for over 100 years and this new team is now stronger to provide unparallel service for distributors and end users."
FSG will blend seven employees and former Principal/Owners Jim Tumpane and Mike Steller to the ISK team. Steller comments, "We are delighted to be a part of ISK Industries, a company we have known and respected for many years. The collaboration of both companies will provide proven sales skills, outstanding customer support and cutting edge technology that will benefit customers, distributors and manufacturing principals alike."
FSG has been owned and operated by Tumpane and Steller since 1997. FSG and ISK have shared mutual lines as well as experiences in the industry in this time. "Two hard working, knowledgeable sales teams working to support our customers. A winning combination!!" Tumpane asserts.
For over 80 years, ISK has represented world class suppliers to industrial and retail channels in thirteen Midwest states - Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota & Wisconsin. The FSG acquisition will deepen relationships in the Safety and Fire channel for ISK in this footprint.
