Georgia-Pacific Professional (Atlanta, GA) recently unveiled the SofPull™ centerpull tissue dispenser. The product’s dispensing system features a completely enclosed roll. Sheet-by-sheet feeding of tissue is pulled from a small opening in the front, leaving a minimal amount of tissue exposed. According to the company, since the tissues are previously untouched, the tissue is more hygienic and helps to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. The tissue used in this dispenser is a soft, two-ply product that meets EPA standards for recycled content. Furthermore, there is no outer carton or inner wrapping, which helps conserve paper use.
