Wesco set yet another quarterly sales record in the third quarter of the year and again raised its outlook heading into the final three-month window of 2026.
The company reported net sales of $7.23 billion, an increase of 16.6% year over year after recording new highs for sales in each of the first two quarters of 2026. Company officials highlighted volume growth across all three of its business segments — communications, electronics and utilities and broadband — as well as “a favorable impact from changes in price.”
Wesco’s gross profit rose 18.9% over the same quarter last year to $1.57 billion, while operating profit climbed by 30.5% over that span to $450.8 million. Net income attributable to Wesco shareholders jumped 42.8% to $267.8 million, and the company pointed to an adjusted gross margin that was up 40 basis points to 21.7%.
Wesco Chairman, President and CEO John Engel said that sales, backlog, operating profit and earnings per share each rose by double-digits to record levels and exceeded internal expectations. He added that the company is “again significantly raising our full-year 2026 outlook.”
“The past five consecutive quarters of double-digit sales growth demonstrate Wesco's higher growth profile which extends well beyond our important data center positioning,” Engel said in a statement. “Customer demand is strong across the rest of our diversified portfolio and end markets, with sales up high single-digits excluding data centers.”
