Rexel on Thursday reported what officials called its best quarterly sales numbers since 2022 — paced by a sharp jump in the U.S. market.
The French electrical distribution giant said that it posted $2.59 billion in U.S. sales in the third quarter of the year, an increase of 18.2% on a same-day basis compared to the same quarter last year.
The company said that sales for data centers in the U.S. were up “triple digits” and outperformed what was already a “strong underlying market.” Data centers now represent about 13% of its total U.S. sales.
Rexel’s U.S. segment also reported a 20% jump in industrial automation sales, and “mid-single digit growth” in residential and other non-residential markets, “notably aerospace.” The company’s sales also increased 13.4% on a daily basis in Canada and were up 17.4% on average in North America overall.
Rexel said that its overall third-quarter sales were just over $6.1 billion, an increase of 11.4% year-over-year on a same-day basis.
The company again raised its full-year outlook, as well: officials now expect annual same-day sales growth of about 7% and adjusted EBITA margin of at least 6.4%, up from the previous forecast of about 5% and at least 6.2%, respectively.
Rexel also said that it expects to close on its acquisition of wire and cable distributor GCG, announced in late September, by the end of the year. Officials noted Thursday that the deal represents its largest acquisition in over 15 years.
“These results illustrate how our strategic repositioning toward high-growth segments and value-added services is transforming Rexel's business model and raising its visibility,” Rexel CEO Guillaume Texier said in a statement. “The acquisitions completed and announced in 2026, including GCG, will further accelerate our transformation.”
