Tool brand Stanley Black & Decker announced third quarter 2026 financial results this week, revealing net sales of $3.7 billion, down 1% on a total basis and up 4% organically.

Chris Nelson, Stanley Black & Decker's President & CEO, commented, "We saw strong underlying performance in the Tools & Outdoor segment in the third quarter, with continued strength in the U.S. retail and commercial & industrial channels. We were particularly encouraged by our organic growth in the quarter, which was up 4 percent, demonstrating that our brand activation and innovation efforts are yielding results. Our third quarter performance reinforces the conviction we have in our full-year outlook and our long-term strategy.”

Stanley Black & Decker’s performance in its engineered fastening division, however, was impacted by some recent strategic actions. The company reported the segment’s net sales were down 21% year-over-year, mainly due to the divestiture of Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) in April. Meanwhile, organic sales increased 2% year-over-year.

Still, the Company is raising 2026 GAAP EPS to be in the range of $5.45 to $5.85, from a prior range of $4.60 to $5.45. The Company is also raising and tightening the adjusted EPS range to $5.95 to $6.25, from a prior range of $5.20 to $5.80. These ranges represent year over year growth of 113% and 31%, respectively.

Nelson said leadership continues to “build momentum in the business” and “remain focused on disciplined execution to drive  profitable growth.”
