DPA Safety Excellence Award
DPA’s 2012 Buying and Networking Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas. One of the group’s most prestigious honors is the DPA Safety Excellence Award, an award given to a company or person that demonstrates extraordinary support of DPA and excellence in the Safety Industry. This year’s DPA Safety Excellence Award was presented to Abco Safety, (Cincinnati, OH). Abco Safety was founded in 1987 and has continued to grow and prosper due to their unrelenting commitment and passion for the safety industry. Their staff includes Safety Sales Professionals, Corporate Sales Managers and Certified Safety Representatives. With their extensive experience, they are able to serve small and large customers alike. “They are ambitious innovators and leaders in the industry and that is why we are proud to call Abco Safety a DPA distributor,” said DPA Safety Executive Director, Zachary T. U.S. Congressman Steve Chabot (OH) Presents R3 Safety with DPA Safety Supplier of the Year Award
United States Congressman, Steve Chabot (OH) made a special visit to R3 Safety headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio on May 14, 2012. His visit included a tour of the facility and introductions to the R3 Safety employees. While there, he presented Jim Walker of R3 Safety (www.R3safety.com) with the 2011 DPA Safety Supplier of the Year Award. DPA Executive Director, Zachary T. Haines commented, “Having Congressman Chabot present the DPA Safety Supplier of the Year Award was an honor and a privilege.” Haines continued, “R3 Safety has been a DPA Safety preferred supplier since 2008 and has shown outstanding support to the DPA Buying Group and its members.” Congratulations to DPA Safety Supplier of the Year, R3 Safety (Fairfield, OH).
DPA Safety Technology & Marketing Award Recipients
DPA’s 2012 Buying and Networking Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas on April 25&27, 2012. Over 60 of the industry’s leading distributors and suppliers were in attendance and each day was filled with meetings, presentations and networking opportunities. Distributors were treated to “Made in America” product presentations given by Tina Shabel of Radians, Dan Bergman of National Safety Apparel (NSA) and Jackie Barker of ERB Safety. The DPA Safety “Technology Award” went to West Chester Holdings, Inc. (Monroe, Ohio) for their development and implementation of a new mobile app. National Marker Company (North Smithfield, RI) took home the DPA Safety “Marketing Outside the Box” award for their continuous and superior work in marketing.
DPA Safety 5-year Members
DPA Safety recognized its 5-year members at its 2012 DPA buying and networking conference in San Antonio, Texas. Two distributor companies were honored with a special 5-year lapel pin at the group’s opening meeting. “These members are an important part of DPA Safety’s success and we want to thank them for their tremendous support over the years,” said Zachary T. Haines, DPA Executive Director.
