Sonepar subsidiary World Electric announced Friday that it is adding three new locations in Florida this year and will open a new distribution hub in the state in 2027.
The company officially opened its new branch in Port St. Lucie this week, and said that it will open locations in Homestead and St. Augustine this fall. The new central distribution center, meanwhile, will be located in Lakeland, Florida.
World Electric officials said that the new branches would bring its footprint to 23 locations across Florida and Georgia, while the Lakeland hub will join the company’s two other central distribution centers located near Atlanta and Miami.
"We are excited about the continued growth of our company and the opportunities it creates to better serve our customers and communities," World Electric President Tammy Livers said in the announcement.
Sonepar also announced a pair of new executive appointments at its Crawford subsidiary in recent weeks: Diana Dibua was named vice president of finance, and Wade Moore was appointed vice president of operations.
