The top digital official at Motion’s parent company intends to leave the auto and industrial supply giant later this spring, company officials wrote in a recent filing with federal regulators.
Genuine Parts Company disclosed Naveen Krishna’s pending departure in filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last week. Krishna, the company’s executive vice president and chief information and digital officer, notified GPC officials that he intended to resign to “pursue other opportunities.”
Krishna will step down as chief digital officer next week but remain with GPC until early May to “assist with an orderly transition of his responsibilities.” GPC indicated that it plans to reallocate those responsibilities to other individuals at the company rather than appoint an immediate successor.
Krishna was named GPC’s chief information and digital officer in 2021. He previously held roles at Macy’s, The Home Depot, Target, FedEx and Deloitte Consulting.
GPC announced last month that it intends to split its Motion and NAPA auto parts businesses into standalone, publicly traded companies early next year.
