Tencarva Machinery Company has acquired manufacturer’s representative WWaterTech Services Inc., the flow control and process equipment distributor announced Wednesday.

Tencarva leaders said that the addition would advance its strategy of expanding and diversifying its “municipal presence across the U.S.” WWaterTech provides water and wastewater process equipment from dozens of vendors across Texas and Oklahoma.

"With its strong position in Texas, one of the most attractive municipal markets in the country, and its high-quality OEM relationships, WWaterTech expands our reach in an important market and supports our continued growth in municipal end markets,” Tencarva President Henry Ritchie said in a statement.

WWaterTech owner and President Steve Holt will move into an advisory role following the transition to Tencarva, at which point sales rep Wes Holt would take over the business as branch manager. The company is headquartered in Waller, Texas, and has additional locations in Bedford and McAllen, Texas.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Tencarva is made up of water industry professionals with a strong track record of acquiring excellent companies and supporting them for the long term,” Steve Holt said. “This transaction allows our team to remain intact while adding resources and capabilities that will help WWaterTech continue to grow and better serve our principals, engineers, contractors and owners.”

Tencarva ranked at no. 34 on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
