ID's Top 5 Of The Week

This past week included big news items involving Catepillar plant closures, a new president at Vallen Distribution and True Value being privately acquired, while the top item this past week was a sales management best practices piece by Paul Reilly.

Want to know something crazy? I'm actually in Thailand right now as I write this. A hotel in Bangkok, to be exact. I'm here representing a handful of Advantage Business Media's other manufacturing brands on a press trip hosted by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). During its events, which wrapped up Thursday night locally, I got to visit a handful of manufacturing companies and industrial facilities as BOI showcased why companies all over the globe should be investing in Thailand. That, and eating way too much curry and Pad Thai.

I begin the day-long journey back to Madison, WI starting Friday morning here local time, so I'll probably be in the air when the vast majority of ID readers see this from our newsletter.
