Winsupply announced Thursday that it has added a new “local company” that will provide “much-needed growth” for the distributor in the Raleigh, North Carolina, market.

Winsupply Clayton NC, which operates as Winsupply of Clayton, opened for business in the Raleigh suburb in late November. The 18,000-square-foot facility serves the region’s plumbing and HVAC markets.

“We have had only one plumbing location for years there, in Wake Forest, and this will help gain strength for both local companies,” Rob McCullough, Winsupply’s area leader, said in the announcement.

The company currently has a staff of eight — including President Brendan Recchia and Manager Brian Friend — and is hiring for additional positions. Recchia, an Army veteran who joined the company as part of a Winsupply Junior Military Officer and Manager in Training program, has previously led Savannah Winsupply in Georgia, Manchester Winsupply in Connecticut, and Winsupply Wakefield — formerly Avon Supply — in Massachusetts.

Winsupply noted that it is planning to add more “local companies” — which are operated in partnership with the business owners — in North Carolina in the coming years.

A grand opening at the Clayton business is expected to be held this spring.

Winsupply is the no. 3 company on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
