Sonepar subsidiary World Electric announced Monday that it has opened a new distribution hub in suburban Atlanta.

The new regional distribution center in Suwanee, Georgia, joins the company’s existing RDC near Miami and the its headquarters in Tampa, along with more than 20 branches in Florida and Georgia.

World officials said the new hub would enable it to provide faster delivery, specialized services, and support for “vertical markets like solar and EV charging.” The company will offer kitting, prefabricated assemblies, color feeders, wire paralleling, and material staging and storage to electrical contractors and industrial customers.

“This new regional distribution center is a game-changing addition to our infrastructure,” World Electric President Tammy Livers said in a statement. “We can now offer a wider range of products with just-in-time capabilities, streamlining our operations to get customers the electrical material they need faster."

The 155,000-square-foot Suwanee facility is led by Operations Manager Bobby Minter and Branch Manager David Ramsey.
