Austin Hardware & Supply has expanded outside the U.S. for the first time.
The Missouri wholesale distributor officially opened its first Canadian location in Ingleside, Ontario, according to a statement posted Tuesday by industry group NTEA.
The new facility would provide customers in Canada with faster access to Austin’s vehicle hardware, adhesives, sealants, fasteners, hinges and other supplies. Canadian manufacturers, distributors and service providers would also see lower shipping costs and a reduced impact from tariffs, officials said.
"Expanding into Canada allows us to better serve our valued customers with the products and solutions they rely on every day," Austin Hardware Executive Vice President Jack Dudenhoeffer said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring our industry expertise, high-quality products and customer-focused approach closer to our Canadian partners."
Austin Hardware, based in suburban Kansas City, operates 10 other locations throughout the U.S.
