The Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative said Monday that its members set a new monthly spending record last month.
The cooperative said that its members’ October spending hit $39.1 million, and IWDC President and CEO Frank Kasnick said that the company is “getting close” to crossing the $40 million threshold for the first time.
"This is a testament to the strength and resilience of the independents in our welding and gas industry and reflects the strong support from our vendor partners,” Kasnick said in a statement.
The IWDC also said Monday that McGregor Welding Supply, a Belton, Texas-based provider of welding supplies and equipment, tools and PPE, is poised to join the cooperative effective Dec. 1.
The announcements followed the group’s owners’ meeting, held earlier this month in South Florida.
