Nearly two-thirds of NetPlus Alliance distributors reported sales growth of at least 3% in the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest member survey from the buying group, and more than three-quarters expect that level of growth over the full year.
The group’s “Industry Outlook” report, issued June 30, featured findings from an April survey of 122 NetPlus members that reflected their results from the first quarter of 2026.
NetPlus officials said that 65% reported Q1 sales that were up 3% or more year-over-year, and that 40% reported sales that were up at least 8% over that span. Another 17% said that sales were “steady,” while 18% said that their sales fell compared to the first quarter of 2025.
The buying group credited a boom in data center construction for the stronger sales numbers but said that rising oil and gas prices and a harsh winter in some areas impacted some of its members. Member purchases from NetPlus suppliers and wholesalers, the report indicated, were up nearly 20% in the first quarter.
The survey found that 77% of members expected full-year sales to be up 3% or more this year, and, of those, 41% expected sales growth of at least 8%; 18% projected “steady” sales, and 4% expected an annual decline.
“This is a resilient network,” NetPlus President and CEO Jennifer Murphy said in a statement. “Our members and partners consistently maintain a positive outlook, taking what others might see as roadblocks and turning them into lessons in innovation.”
