AD Reports Record First Half Member Sales

The buying group also added nearly 80 new members during that span.

Affiliated Distributors said Monday that its members recorded sales of over $58 billion in the first half of the year.

AD officials said that the sales total was up 15% to set a new record for the buying group.

Same-store sales for its existing members were up by 10%, while member purchases from AD suppliers increased by 24%.

“Our strong first-half results reflect the growth of our members, the addition of new members to our community, and the strength of member partnerships with AD suppliers,” AD Chairman and CEO Bill Weisberg said in a statement.

AD also added a net 79 members during the first six months of the year. The buying group noted that its members combined to acquire 28 non-AD companies in the first half.
