EAST GRANBY, CT –– Industrial Buyers Consortium (IBC) has announced the addition of Lindco Springfield to its growing network of independent distributor members. An industrial distributor that’s been servicing customers in Connecticut and western Massachusetts since 1959, Lindco Springfield is a third-generation, family-owned business that’s focused on providing a high level of customer service and innovative products.
Kevin Ford, Sales Manager, said the distributor aligned itself with IBC this year because the organization supports Lindco Springfield’s continuous diversification of product offerings. “We look forward to working with the many different suppliers and members of this group,” Ford said, “as we all strive to succeed in this ever-changing industry.”
A specialized industrial tool and metalworking fluid distributor, Lindco Springfield supports machine shops in the Western Massachusetts and Connecticut region and services the aerospace/defense, medical, firearms, and automotive industries, among others. “We not only provide the highest quality tools and coolants, but we also provide solutions – from concept to quality parts completion,” said Ford.
With a certified staff that has over 150 years combined cutting tool and coolant experience, Lindco Springfield’s technical knowledge – and the ability to apply that knowledge to its customers’ needs – is second to none, Ford continued.
Nancy Schwind, IBC’s Director of Business Development, said Lindco Springfield will be a great addition to the organization’s existing lineup of high-quality, independent distributors. “Lindco Springfield supports many of our key suppliers,” said Schwind, “and their willingness to build out their supply chain in order to support business opportunities makes the company an ideal member for our group.”
Preferred Supplier
IBC has also announced the addition of Bilz Tool Co. USA, as the organization’s newest Preferred Supplier. Bilz tool clamping systems are used worldwide on a broad variety of machines and in a multitude of applications. The company prides itself in its continual process of development – a commitment that leads to ongoing improvement of existing product lines plus innovative new products.
With U.S. headquarters in Lombard, IL, and subsidiaries in England, Italy, France, and India, Bilz manufactures clamping tools in the field of tapping and high-performance tools. A trusted partner in the automotive and machine tool industry for over 90 years, the firm has 430 employees in Asia and Europe who develop and produce high-quality, modern solutions for tool clamping applications in 34 different countries.
In addition to its high manufacturing standards, Bilz emphasizes application support and customer service. For instance, tools are often customized to suit individual customer requirements. In June, the company introduced a new Diebold product called CentroGrip, which combines cutting tool run-out (TIR) with maximum flexibility. An ultra-high precision collet system, CentroGrip provides maximum tool accuracy with excellent collet interchangeability.
Andrea Marquez, Controller, said Bilz recently launched a new branding campaign with the tagline, “Your Connection to Performance.” As part of that overall effort, the company aligned itself with IBC in order to better service the members it was already working with while reaching out to new ones.
“We’ve overhauled our marketing and branding while staying focused on our top competitive advantages, which are creating highly-accurate products that feature extended tool life,” said Marquez. “We see our new alliance with IBC as the perfect adjunct to our overall marketing efforts.”
IBC's Schwind said that Bilz and Diebold are names synonymous with accuracy in tool clamping systems. “These German-Made ultra-precision products provide a variety of tool holding solutions,” she said , “for various CNC machining issues that our members confront on a daily basis.”
