Deerfield, IL- United Stationers will be launching an entirely new platform designed to support learning, growth and development for independent resellers. This new platform, called CORE, (Center of Reseller Excellence) will bring together the independent reseller community, key suppliers, influencers from around the industry, as well as thought leaders from around the country. Programs will include cutting-edge thinking and best-practice workshops, breakthrough industry research and interactive events and workshops. The result will be transformational learning and ongoing business improvement for independent resellers.

"Through continuing education and training, the CORE platform will provide resellers with the information, tools and resources they need to address their challenges and capitalize on the opportunities in front of them."
The first CORE program rollout will be United Stationers' meetings and events offerings, including CORE Lab and CORE Live. CORE Lab will be a series of workshop-driven events that will bring together select resellers and suppliers with United Stationers leaders to tackle important business challenges in a tailored, interactive learning environment. The first CORE Lab event is scheduled to take place in Chicago in June 2014, with future events to follow. Each CORE Lab event will be unique in content and attendance, and while participation may be narrow, the fruits of these sessions will be available for the broader dealer community to foster continued interactive learning.
CORE Live will be held in early 2015 and will be a broader-scale, multi-day event that will bring together a larger cross-section of the industry in an environment of interactive learning and engagement. As with previous VISION events, CORE Live will bring in renowned speakers and thought leaders. United will also share the latest in ongoing consumer research and provide ready-to-use information in all areas of the Seven Moves to Win unveiled at the 2012 VISION show.
"For the past 13 years United Stationers had organized the Vision Conference with much success, but with a changing market. We asked our customers what they needed - and they asked for more focused dialogue, direction and opportunity," Hund continued. "When CORE is fully launched, it will contain the most-comprehensive set of tools, resources and experiences for independent resellers and will uniquely position them for growth."
As part of the CORE platform, United Stationers will offer valuable research and insights by developing, curating and aggregating relevant information to drive reseller growth. Independent dealers will have access to whitepapers, webinars, articles and value-add programs and services that will help to support a variety of reseller needs.
CORE will ultimately engage a community of like-minded resellers to be able to share ideas, knowledge and best practices among one another. Additional details on CORE Engagement will be revealed later this year.
