Sonepar set a new record for global sales and saw a double-digit jump in U.S. revenue last year despite a “challenging” economic environment, company officials said Tuesday.

The French electrical distribution giant said in a release that sales totaled $37.9 billion last year amid “strong growth” in industrial automation, energy storage, data center and other markets. The company acquired 10 businesses during the year, which accounted for $277 million in sales, while its 2024 acquisitions added $2.5 billion in revenues last year.

Sonepar officials said that sales in the U.S. were up 15% year-over-year, and that it is “now the leader in its core B2B electrical distribution business across the American continent.”

Sonepar President and CEO Philippe Delpech added that sales in its Spark omnichannel platform were up 50% over 2024 levels, and that Sonepar’s overall online sales “soared” to $13.9 billion.

“We have made tremendous progress on our digital enterprise agenda, strengthening our capabilities through advanced data insights and AI technology that Sonepar is deploying fast and at scale,” Phillipe said in a statement.
