
Fastenal’s August sales were up 16.6% compared to the same month last year, according to the distributor’s latest monthly sales disclosure.
The company reported $812.1 million in sales last month, up from $696.7 million in August 2025.
Sales to the heavy manufacturing segment, its largest end market, rose by 21.8% on a daily average basis, while other manufacturing sales were up 14.3% year-over-year; sales to the non-residential construction market were up 9.6%.
Fastenal reported a 19.1% jump in sales to OEM customers, including a 21.7% increase in cutting tools and abrasives and a 16.7% increase in fasteners and hardware. Its MRO-related sales rose by 15.6%; safety products in that category were up 15.7% with MRO fasteners and hardware up 11.7%.
The company’s U.S. sales, which accounted for about 83% of its total, were up 15.5%, while sales across Canada and Mexico and to its other international markets increased by 20.7% and 28.4%, respectively.
