TestEquity Acquires Grainger Subsidiary Techni-Tool

The move comes six months after Pennslyvania-based TestEquity announced the acquisition of Stanley Black & Decker subsidiary JENSEN Tools + Supply back in January.

Six months after announcing the purchase of Stanley Black & Decker subsidiary JENSEN Tools + Supply, California-based TestEquity announced Wednesday that it has acquired W.W. Grainger subsidiary Techni-Tool Inc.

Worcester, PA-based Techni-Tool provides electronic production supplied and related services to manufacturers in the electronics, telecommunications and medical services industries. TestEquity said that the addition makes it one of North America's largest full-line stocking distributors of test & measurement equipment and eMRO Tools & Supplies.

Moorepark, CA-based TestEquity states that Techni-Tool employs about 200 people and offers nearly 25,000 products and services.

"We are very excited to welcome the dedicated employees, customers and suppliers of Techni-Tool to TestEquity," Techni-Tool president and CEO Dan Copsey said. "Our combined company allows us to provide our customers a comprehensive offering of Test & Measurement Solutions along with eMRO Tools & Supplies from a single-source supplier."

Mike Hade, Techni-Tool's General Manager added, "We are proud to represent a group of world class suppliers, and the combination of TestEquity and Techni-Tool will bring together the best of the best in the industry when it comes to Test & Measurement and Electronic Production Supplies."
