KEMP, TX — Larson Electronics has announced the release of a new multi-function LED head lamp made for use in hazardous locations where gases, vapors, and various dusts exist.

The EXP-LED-HL-MX2 intrinsically safe LED headlight from Larson Electronics produces an intense light beam while providing up to 16 hours of illumination and features five operating modes with a simple dome push button. Two high intensity CREE LEDs mounted within an impact resistant housing are powered by three AAA batteries to produce a long lived light beam of up to 160 lumens in output. This explosion proof head lamp includes an elastic head strap as well as an adjustable rubber strap to allow users to wear the unit directly on the head or on a hard hat. This work light is constructed of an impact resistant engineered polymer that has been drop tested from two meters, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating, and an IPX7 waterproof rating tested at one meter. Two rubber dome push button switches allow easy operation between modes even when wearing gloves.
