Magid Introduces New Cut-Resistant, High-Grip Work Glove

Magid's latest work glove advancement combines ANSI Cut level 5 protection and crinkle latex palm coating.

CHICAGO — Magid, a manufacturer and supplier of safety solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE), has developed a new cut-resistant work glove, the CutMaster Aramax XT AX5100. The AX5100 is a seamless machine knit glove that combines the highest level of cut protection with a crinkle latex palm coating for outstanding grip.

The AX5100 is perfect for handling extremely sharp-edged materials and is ideally suited for industries such as appliance and automotive manufacturing, glass handling, metal handling, metal fabrication and metal stamping. Glaziers and window fitters will appreciate the crinkle latex coating, which doesn’t leave smudge marks. Features include:

  • Aramax XT yarn that offers up to twice the cut protection than yarns of similar weight made of 100 percent para-aramid — with ANSI level 5 cut protection
  • Crinkle latex palm coating that delivers smudge-free grip and provides added abrasion resistance
  • Form-fitting shell, engineered to wick away moisture and keep the wearer cool and comfortable
  • Reinforced thumb crotch for added durability at a critical wear point

“Cuts and lacerations to the hands are among the leading causes of work-related injuries, with more than one million emergency room visits each year,” said Rusty Cohen, Executive Vice President, Magid. “The AX5100 is designed to prevent these injuries and enhance productivity by providing excellent cut protection and grip from a glove that workers will want to wear.”
