Supply Technologies announced Tuesday that it plans to establish a new distribution hub in Southwest Ohio that would “significantly expand its North American distribution network.”

The ParkOhio company, a provider of supply chain management services for fasteners and assembly components, said that the 375,000-square-foot complex in suburban Dayton would be its new “flagship location.” In addition to advanced warehouse operations, the hub will also feature a quality and engineering lab and an innovation center.

The Union, Ohio, site will serve its warehouses and customers across North America, company officials said.

“Our new distribution center will allow us to operate a more efficient hub and spoke distribution network in North America,” Supply Technologies President Brian Norris said in a statement. “The investments we are making in this facility include robotic automation, more advanced warehouse systems, and best-in-class equipment in our quality and engineering lab.”

The company expects to spend more than $20 million on the project. Supply Technologies hopes to officially open the facility on July 1, and hiring for the site should begin early next year. The company anticipates a staff of over 100 at the facility, including 60 newly created positions.

“Supply Technologies is a business that global OEMs look to for ensuring uptime and this new state of the art facility will ensure greater supply continuity, which translates to uptime for the manufacturers we serve,” said Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. CEO Matt Crawford.
