F.W. Webb Company on Tuesday announced the launch of its new mobile app.

The Massachusetts-based plumbing, HVAC and PVF distributor — no. 12 on ID’s latest Big 50 list — said that trade professionals with iPhones and F.W. Webb online accounts can download and use the new app as of Tuesday. The app is expected to be available for Android devices later in the year.

Company officials said the app features real-time inventory and pricing data, enhanced search capabilities, order status updates, and product and store information. The company said that it would allow contractors, technicians and facility managers to order products and equipment directly in the app, as well as view product availability by store and register for training events at their nearest location.

“This is not designed to be a ‘new channel,’” F.W. Webb Vice President of E-commerce and Digital Operations Brendan Lilly said in the announcement. “It’s designed to be an expansion of the F.W. Webb customer experience, an extension of the branch, whether customers are at the jobsite, in the office, or on the road.”
