EAST GRANBY, CT — Effective July 1, Industrial Buyers Consortium (IBC) has added Diamond Saw Works, Inc., of Chaffee, NY, as its newest preferred supplier of Sterling band saw blades, small tool blades and accessories.
As one of the last remaining companies that make saw blades in the U.S., Diamond Saw combines state-of-the-art technology with decades of expertise to ensure precise and consistent quality across its entire product line. Diamond Saw is an employee-owned company.
Founded in 1890, Diamond Saw sells its products through a distributor network supported by strategically-located U.S. warehouses that provide prompt service. Fred Gallant, Vice President of Sales, said the company elected to align itself with IBC in order to expand its distribution network, reach more end users, and increase exposure for the company.
“Diamond Saw and the Sterling brand of saw products has been the best kept secret in the saw blade industry for more than 125 years. Now is the time to tell the story of who we are and what we do best,” Gallant said. “We are implementing a new and aggressive marketing strategy and we see IBC and its distributor members as great partners in driving mutual growth.”
Diamond Saw’s strengths include an experienced, factory-trained sales force that can assist with correct blade selection for specific applications, guaranteed trial orders, assistance locating authorized service centers and a variety of training materials and publications focused in optimizing correct blade usage and performance.
With more than 30 years of experience in the tool industry, Gallant said IBC was his first choice of buying groups based on his past success in working with the organization.
“IBC will play a key role in our future,” Gallant said. “We look forward to growing and expanding right along with the organization as a whole.”
Rich Poole, Vice President, Industrial at IBC expects Diamond Saw to provide IBC’s distributor network the opportunity to expand their metalworking capabilities.
“Diamond Saw’s broad product offering assists in both the band saw and power tool accessory markets,” Poole said. “We are excited to provide our distributor members the opportunity to expand their markets through an employee-owned and operated manufacturer.”
