Turner Supply announced Sunday that it has acquired Georgia MRO distributor Progressive Supply.

Progressive Supply’s Woodstock, Georgia, branch will become Turner’s ninth location and its first in the Atlanta area — expanding its existing capabilities in the North Georgia market. Progressive serves the area's manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication, construction and utility segments.

The deal closed on Jan. 31; terms were not disclosed.

"We are excited to welcome Rick Klein and his team at Progressive Supply to the Turner Supply family,” Turner CEO Chip Schramm said in a statement. “Their core values and culture of high touch customer service are a strong match for Turner’s.”

"Our priority was ensuring customers could continue working with the same team they've always trusted,” said Klein. “Every interaction I had with the Turner team reinforced that this was the right decision.”

Mobile, Alabama-based Turner operates five locations in Alabama, as well as sites in Mississippi, Tennessee and Southwest Georgia.
