Manufacturing Day Kicks Off Month of Virtual Events

More than 300 events will take place throughout the month.

The Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development partner of the National Association of Manufacturers, has announced the official start to MFG Day 2020.

This year marks the 8th year of the event, which runs through October, and the first virtual version.

MI Executive Director Carolyn Lee says they hope “to bring awareness to the high-paying, rewarding and meaningful career opportunities in our industry.”

More than 300 events will take place throughout the month, kicking off on October 2nd with “Creators Wanted: A Program for America’s Students.”

The virtual roundtable will feature leaders in the manufacturing industry, along with Netflix star Emily Dawn Calandrelli of Emily’s Wonder Lab.

An October 13th event plans to take “a deep dive into creators’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic” and features manufacturers involved in the nation’s virus response.
