The Washington County Observer and Reporter said on Wednesday that Airgas will gain a new distribution center and office at the site of a former U.S. Steel plant in Donora, PA, about 28 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh.
The Observer and Reporter said Pitt Building LP of Pittsburgh intends to buy six acres in the Donora Industrial Park for $250,000 and build 12,500 square feet of warehouse for a distribution center and 3,500 square feet of office space for Radnor, PA-based Airgas, which expects to employ 26 people at the new branch. Pitt Building is investing about $3 million in the property.
The deal is expected to finalize in June.
Airgas was No. 9 on Industrial Distribution's 2015 Big 50 List.
