Sandvik Secures Major Materials Handling Orders

The orders include design and supply of conveying systems with a total length of 8.9 km comprising of two iron ore transfer conveyors up to 28,500 ton per hour and two waste conveyors lines each with 9,500 ton per hour capacity for a surface mine in South America.

Sandviken, Sweden - Sandvik Mining has secured major materials handling contracts in South America and Australia. The combined value of the contracts exceeds 950 million SEK and will be executed and contribute to Sandvik Mining's business during the years 2013 until 2015.

The orders include design and supply of conveying systems with a total length of 8.9 km comprising of two iron ore transfer conveyors up to 28,500 ton per hour and two waste conveyors lines each with 9,500 ton per hour capacity for a surface mine in South America.

For Australia the orders include design, supply and delivery of materials handling equipment for iron ore stacking at peak rates of over 11,500 ton per hour.
