Raleigh, NC — Lilian Wang, principal at Tompkins International, has been recognized as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by the APICS Association for Operations Management.

“By combining this new knowledge with my 20-plus years of hands-on experience, I’m able to provide clients with increased tangible benefits,” says Wang. “I am proud to have earned this designation and align myself with the commitment to excellence that it represents.”

Introduced in 2005, the CSCP program takes a broad view of the supply chain field, extending beyond internal operations to encompass the full supply chain – from the supplier’s suppliers to the consumer’s consumers. It provides the knowledge to effectively manage the integration of these activities and maximize supply chain value.

To qualify for the designation, Wang completed a rigorous self-study course and comprehension examination. She adds this to her many years of experience advising top-tier multinational clients in healthcare, consumer goods, logistics service provider and international shipping industries.

Wang specializes in supply chain innovation and improvement. She also brings strong analytical and business re-engineering skills that have led numerous global organizations to success.

“Lilian’s commitment to her work is evident in all that she does,” says Jim Tompkins, president and CEO of Tompkins International. “She always goes the extra mile to ensure clients are utilizing their supply chains to maximize value.”

Wang received her MBA from University of Ottawa and is certified in Six Sigma and Collaborative Planning Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR). She is a member of the APICS and was past co-chair of the Wal-Mart Canada Supplier Collaboration Board.

Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Wang is an expert of Chinese and Japanese culture and is skilled in bridging Asian and North America business practices. She is located in Toronto, Canada, and serves as a member of the Canadian Association of Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
