Motion & Control Enterprises has acquired a South Florida electric motor repair company in its second M&A deal in as many weeks, officials announced Thursday.
MCE officials said that Tripp Electric Motors, located in Belle Glade, Florida, provides maintenance and repair of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and other process equipment across the state’s industrial and municipal markets.
The company will retain its current name and continue to be led by Jimmy Tripp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to announce this acquisition, which strengthens our pump, motor and process equipment repair capabilities in the growing Florida water and wastewater market,” MCE Chairman and CEO Charles Hale said in a statement. “Tripp’s longstanding customer relationships and repair capabilities are a perfect addition to our existing Florida operations.”
MCE last week announced its acquisition of Dallas hydraulic repair and fabrication company TLR Hydraulics Inc.
The Pennsylvania-based company ranked at no. 33 on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
