LEE’S SUMMITT, MO - Austin Hardware and Supply, Inc., a leading supplier of specialty industrial and vehicular hardware, will relocate its Wisconsin facility from the community of Deerbrook to the city of Hudson in October.

The Hudson facility (located at 581 County Road A, Suite C, Hudson, WI, 54016) has more useable space than the previous location in Deerbrook allowing the company to stock a larger quantity and variety of inventory in anticipation of greater demand in the region. The location also makes it possible for Austin to reach 90% of businesses in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota in one day via economical ground shipping.

According to Hudson’s General Manager, David Engel, there are other logistical advantages to the new location that will allow Austin Hardware to better serve customers. David states, “Our proximity is much closer to primary roadways than was Deerbrook. So, UPS was only able to pick-up and deliver to the facility once each day. In Hudson they will come both in the morning and afternoon, so we can get parts checked in that arrive in the morning and turn them around that same day. Also, occasionally there were situations when we would schedule a pick-up with an LTL carrier but, because we were so far off the main track, drivers would bypass us, forcing us to reschedule.”

Austin will be accepting and shipping orders from the Deerbrook facility through Tuesday, October 11. All inventories will be moved and available to ship from Hudson by Monday, October 17. Customers are urged to contact their Austin Hardware sales or customer service representative to reschedule any orders currently set to ship during the transition period.
