Plumbing and PVF distributor Ferguson has formed a new “strategic alliance” with Contractor Commerce, an e-commerce and online sales platform for home service contractors, company officials announced Tuesday.

The partnership, the companies said, would enable contractors to offer a modern e-commerce experience directly on their websites, including quoting, sales, membership enrollment and service booking. Ferguson’s contractor customers, in particular, would be able to meet the expectations of today’s homeowners — as well as generate new bookings and revenue without additional “operational complexity.”

"For contactors, a website should be more than just an online placeholder; it's an asset that should be generating real revenue," Contractor Commerce President Paul Redman said in a statement. "Our strategic collaboration with Ferguson provides contractors a new avenue to drive sales and profitability online, all while providing the end customer with a smoother experience."

“Contractor success is at the center of everything we do, and success today means continuing to anticipate and meet changing consumer expectations," added Scott Hager, Ferguson vice president of HVAC. "That's why it's critical that contractors have access to tools that are both powerful and practical.”
