IBC announced Monday that Indiana tool supplier Seymour Midwest has joined the buying group.

Seymour Midwest, founded in 1872, provides long-handled tools and other products to a range of end markets from its four locations across Indiana and Tennessee. IBC officials said that the addition of the company as a supplier member would support its distributors with “well-branded, clearly merchandised tools and replacement handles,” as well as broaden product availability.

“Seymour Midwest’s deep industry roots and commitment to quality make them an excellent addition to the IBC supplier community,” IBC Director of Supplier Relations Chet Hood said in a statement. “Their diverse product lines, strong branding and U.S. manufacturing presence align well with the needs of our distributor members and expand the opportunities available across multiple end markets.”

Todd Sandbakken, the director of the long handled tools division at Seymour Midwest, added that the “strategic step” of joining IBC would help the company “continue to support distributors with dependable products.”
