5 With ID: Dirk Beveridge Explains Why Distribution is Sexy as Hell

In-between stops on his "We Supply America" documentary tour, Beveridge spoke with us about his motivation and purpose for the project, and what he's learned along the way.

If you’ve been involved in the B2B distribution market for at least a year or two, odds are you know who Dirk Beveridge is. He’s been arguably the most prominent flag-carrier for the wholesale distribution industry for more than three decades, helping to share countless stories of distributors in all verticals and infuse innovation into businesses in this sector. His UnleashWD event in October 2014 was one of the very first industry events I ever attended.

Currently, Dirk is putting his infectious energy to use in perhaps his biggest endeavor yet.

As of Memorial Day, Dirk has been on the road crossing the U.S. from coast-to-coast in a big RV, visiting numerous distributors as he films his We Supply America documentary series. The series, which has had the first handful of episodes already air, shares inspirational stories from independent distributors and highlights the crucial role they play.

I managed to snag an interview with Beveridge from his RV between stops in Iowa. We talked about the purpose behind We Supply America and what he’s learned along the way.
