Sonepar has partnered with warehouse automation firm Kardex at its Codale subsidiary’s new distribution center in Las Vegas, company officials announced.

Officials said that the unified “AutoStore empowered by Kardex FulfillX system” increased standard order processing by some 12% at the facility, while will-call processing rose by more than 20%.

The Las Vegas site, first announced early last year, could also serve as a model for other Sonepar operations across the U.S.

“With Kardex, we’ve built a system that sets us up for long-term success, while meeting our current need to quickly turn around orders for electrical contractors and other customers,” Dana Mouritzen, the president and COO of Sonepar USA’s East region, said in a statement. “We’re able to serve walk-in customers in just minutes and have the flexibility to adjust to an influx of orders for a large-scale project with reliable, accurate service.”
