Grainger on Wednesday marked the 25th anniversary of its partnership with the American Red Cross.
The MRO giant said that it has donated money and supplies worth over $21.6 million combined to the organization over that span, including more than 170,000 smoke alarms as part of the national Home Fire Campaign.
Grainger staff has also volunteered through the Ready When the Time Comes program — including after hurricanes Katrina and Maria — and the Missing Maps program, in which they helped map out more than 90,000 buildings. Grainger employees have also supported the Red Cross through “comfort kit” assembly, CPR training and blood drives.
“We're grateful for all we've accomplished together and look forward to continuing to make a meaningful difference in the years ahead," Grainger Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Melanie Tinto said in a statement.
